Join us for the highly anticipated premiere of Ice & Iron—a short documentary that takes you deep into the heart of the Numb Bum Race that started in 1985 out on Clairmont Lake. In 1988, it moved out to George Lake and became a major event in the Fairview community. The Fairview College hosted until 1999 and we want to bring this race back to the Fairview community to celebrate the history of this iconic race. There is no better place for the premiere. 

This exclusive screening will take you behind the scenes of the Numb Bum race's rich history, showcasing the people, the passion, and the extreme conditions that make it an unforgettable event. Whether you're a motorsports enthusiast, a history buff, or simply love a great story of perseverance, Ice & Iron delivers an inspiring and visually stunning journey.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to Ignite, a local youth group dedicated to empowering and supporting young individuals in our community. By attending, you’re not only witnessing an incredible story—you’re helping to fuel the future of our youth.

After the film, we will have a Q & A with the film crew and cast. Mingle with fellow film and motorsport enthusiasts, and enjoy a night of celebration as we showcase our hard work and dedication to bringing this project to life.

The Ignite Youth Centre is pleased to partner with Northreach to present and facilitate a conversation around Gender and Sexual Diversity. Presented by Jey Brazeau, some of the key points that will be discussed are:

• Pronouns

• Sexual orientation

• How to be an Ally

• Gender Identity

• Gender Expression

• Biological sex

The conversation will take place at the Ignite Youth Centre, October 19th from 4 - 6 pm followed by sharing and pizza. Please share this with any individuals, youth, parents, guardians and interested folks who would like more information or to share. We are located at 10209 109 Street, Fairview (the rear of the Provincial Building - just look for the teal door!).
