Kamie Currie, President

Kamie has accumulated more than 45 years of experience (concurrent, not consecutive!) in nonprofits, most of them in leadership positions. She believes strongly in the mandate of Ignite and wants to see youth develop important life, social and business skills while in our program.

Myah Adams, Vice-President

Myah has been involved with Ignite for almost two years but has history with the organization as her parent ran the Link (the former name of Ignite) for a number of years. Myah also brings a unique perspective as she is the parent of a child currently attending Ignite programming.

Lisa Stranaghan, Secretary/Treasurer

Tony Shmyruk, Director

A past president of Ignite, Tony joins us an important connection to the world of trades. Tony is a strong believer in the benefits of Ignite to the individual participants and the community.

Jeremy McCracken, Director

Jeremy has been a member of the Ignite board since 2017 and is a frequent facilitator of a number of programs. He had attended the Link (former name of Ignite) several times while he was a high school student. He strongly believes in the mission of the Ignite and that youth centres in small rural towns can save lives.

Terry Cameron, Director

Terry joined our board in 2021 and has facilitated the drum program. He believes that music can be an important way for youth to express themselves, have fun and make friends - in addition to making music!

April Larsback, Director

April joined the Ignite board in 2022 and has children who attend programming. April has been active in many organizations, including organized sports.
