At Ignite Youth Centre, we foster a culture where young people build personal strengths, responsibility, and positive connections. Our behaviour policy encourages youth to engage respectfully, support each other, and contribute to a safe, welcoming space, emphasizing community values over punitive consequences. We support growth and learning: more minor missteps offer opportunities for reflection, mentoring, and re‑entry into the group. In cases of serious infractions, we turn to restorative justice, which bringing youth into dialogue to acknowledge harm, repair relationships, and restore trust with peers and staff. This process helps youth take accountability in a way that strengthens connections and promotes healing rather than exclusion.
